PATENT NEWS IN ARGENTINA

• In October 24, 2000 the Black Box period have ended and pharmaceutical patents have been granted in Argentina.

• During the black box period  (October 1995 - October 2000) about 2,300 patent applications has been filed with the Argentina Patent and Trademark Office (INPI), constituting around a 15% out of the patent applications filed within that term.

• From October 24 to December 21, 84 (eighty four) patents have been granted.
